In 2017, the City undertook a $2.3 million Water Line Project to repair old and damaged water lines.  Here are the recent calculations showing the benefit of pursuing this project:

Water Loss
2016 – 16%
2017 – 15.3% = 50, 885, 050 gallons of water
2018 – 7.73% = 26, 744,000 gallons of water
*The difference saved in a year is enough to supply the City with a whole month of water!

The 2018 water loss calculation is now well below the State’s requirement.  Newly installed water meters are also calculating more accurate water usage.  We appreciate the hard work and diligence of our Public Works Department in completing this project.
