June’s First Week, a series of programming during the first week of each month in Goodland, is fast approaching.
Stop by the following locales this week for some cultural fun for the whole family:
Thursday, May 31: Brown Bag Luncheon (11:00am to 1:00pm) at the Carnegie Arts Center. Pop by for a short program during your lunch hour.
Thursday, May 31: Cooking Arts with Bill Petersen (6:00 – 8:00pm, $30.00) at the Carnegie Arts Center. Learn how to cook a great meal with Bill Petersen, proprietor of Olde Westport Spice & Trading Company.
Friday, June 1: Movie on the Wall (8:30-9:00pm) at the Goodland Public Library: Men in Black (1997, PG-13)
Saturday, June 2: Family Fun Trail (1:00 to 5:00pm) at the Carnegie Arts Center, Goodland Public Libary, and the High Plains Museum. Travel to each location and participate in fun family activities.
Saturday, June 2: Night at the Museum: Experience the Museum late night! Arrive at 6:30 for Bedtime at the Museum for a story and a craft (ages 7-12–the first 15 kids will make a special craft). Arrive at 7:30 for a Late Night Fright: bring your flashlight and go on a history hunt in the museum after hours until 11:00pm (ages 12 and up).
Sunday, June 3: Kick off the summer season with expanded hours at the High Plains Museum (1:00 to 5:00pm Sunday, June-August). See the Goodland Treasure exhibit for yourself and go on a treasure hunt of Goodland!
