ORDINANCE NO. 1786
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING OFFICIAL OR CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE CITATIONS AND SIGN COMPLAINTS TO MUNICIPAL COURT TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTERS 2, 7, 15 AND 19 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS:
Section 1. The city’s building official or code enforcement officer shall be authorized to enforce Chapters two (2), seven (7), fifteen (15), and nineteen (19) of the ordinances of the Code of the City of Goodland, to make such investigations, issue citations, sign complaints, issue notices, orders and directions as are necessary for the enforcement of provisions of the ordinances. Citations issued under these chapters shall be turned in to the Municipal Court Clerk within the next business day or as soon as reasonably possible.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and publication once in the official city newspaper.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 7th day of October, 2024, by the governing body of the City of Goodland, Kansas.
