Join us this Saturday, December 7th, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM for Christmas around the world at the High Plains Museum. Learn about how other countries celebrate Christmas through crafts and stories. Also when you come bring a shoe to the museum, where you will fill your shoe with hay and carrots. The museum will close down at 5:00 PM so St. Nickolas can come and fill your shoe with a special treat! Come back at 7:00 PM to collect your shoe, decorate a cookie and stay for a fire side story!
Christmas around the world is part of the AFS exhibit, “Connecting Lives, Sharing Culture: 100 Years of AFS” which tells the history of the organization both internationally and locally with the help of our local AFS chapter. The exhibit features objects from all over the world and photographs of local families that help tell the story of AFS.
Celebrate Christmas with us at the High Plains Museum with Christmas around the world, Saturday December 7th from 1:00-5:00 PM and 7:00 PM!
Will this exhibit only be this Saturday? We’ll be out of town…
The “Christmas Around the World” event will be held only this Saturday. However, some of the activities we do will be available for the rest of the month of December. The AFS exhibit will be up through January 11th.
