The ordinances of the City of Goodland require that all dogs and cats owned
or kept within the city limits be licensed. All licenses shall be obtained from the city clerk.
On Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., the City of
Goodland will, once again, be offering free animal licenses for citizens who live in Goodland and own or keep a dog or cat. To obtain the free license, you must provide written proof to the City that the animal has current rabies vaccination.
The license fee for dogs and cats that are spayed or neutered is $2.50 per year. The license fee for dogs and cats that are not spayed or neutered is $5.00. If dog or cat licenses are not obtained before the last day of January, then the registration fee shall be doubled.
The free licenses will only be available on January 15, 2019 at the City
Administration Building at 204 W. 11th Street. If you are unable to obtain your animal license on January 15, you may purchase the licenses at the City offices during regular business hours.
This year, Twin Forks Veterinary Clinic will be having a vaccine clinic on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 9am to 3pm MST on the east side of the City building. Free tags will only be given to those with appointments on this day.
