We have had reports of some complaints about getting phone calls from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration asking for your social security number.  The Federal Government does not make calls like this.  This is a scam.  Below is a transcription of a voicemail left by the scammer.

"From Social Security Administration, the nature of this call is to inform you about some legal enforcement actions filed on your Social Security number.  We have gotten in order to suspend your social at very right moment because we have found many suspicious activities on your social.  Before we go ahead and suspend your number, kindly call us back on our number (816) 494-1864. Thank you and goodbye..."

Never give out personal information to anyone unless you can verify the identity of the person on the other end, this includes any message that may come to you via email or text.
