ORDINANCE NO. 1701

 

AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO UTILITY VEHICLES IN THE CITY OF GOODLAND, AMENDING SECTION 16-512(a) and SECTION 16-518(a) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND.

 

            BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS:

 

            Section 1. Section 16-512 of the Code of the City of Goodland, Kansas is hereby amended as follows:

 

Delete paragraph (a) and add a new paragraph (a) to Section 16-512 as follows:

 

(a) Before operating a micro-utility truck on any public street, road or alley within the corporate limits of the city, and each calendar year thereafter, the vehicle shall be registered with the Goodland Police Department and a license/decal shall be obtained and placed on the on the rear of vehicle, on the driver’s side, clearly visible from the rear of the vehicle.

 

SECTION 2. Section 16-518 of the Code of the City of Goodland, Kansas is hereby amended as follows:

 

Delete paragraph (a) and add a new paragraph (a) to Section 16-518 as follows:

 

(a) Before operating a utility terrain vehicle on any public street, road or alley within the corporate limits of the city, and each calendar year thereafter, the vehicle shall be registered with the Goodland Police Department and a license/decal shall be obtained and placed on the on the rear of vehicle, on the driver’s side, clearly visible from the rear of the vehicle.

 

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect after its publication in the Goodland Star News.
