ORDINANCE NO. 1682

 

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING APPROVAL OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF APARTMENTS ON CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS, UNDER THE AUTHORITY GRANTED BY THE ZONING REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS:

 

SECTION 1. That having received a recommendation from the Planning Commission, and proper notice having been given and hearing held as provided by law and under the authority of and subject to the provisions of the City of Goodland, Kansas Zoning Regulations, a Conditional Use Permit for the operation of apartments is hereby approved in a C-1 District.

 

SECTION 2. That this conditional use permit shall be valid for property legally described as follows:

 

A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section Nineteen (19), in Township Eight (8) South, Range Thirty-Nine (39) West of the Sixth P.M., described as follows:  Beginning at the intersection of the South line of 17th Street with the West line of Broadway Ave. extended South, which point is  also in the North property line of the C.R.I. & P. Railway Co., thence West along the North property line of said railway a distance of Twenty feet (20’) to the point of beginning; thence continuing along said North property line of said railway Two Hundred Eighty feet (280’) to its intersection with the East line of Main St. project South; thence South along said East line of Main St., projected South, a distance of Eighty Feet (80’), more or less, to a point Eight and five-tenths feet (8.5’) Northerly from and measured at right angles to the centerline of said railway company’s most northerly tract as now located, which track is known as tract No.4; thence East parallel with and Eight and five-tenths feet (8.5’) northerly from the centerline of said tract No. 4, a distance of Two Hundred Eighty feet (280’); thence North at right angles to last described line Eighty feet (80’) to the point of beginning.

 

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect after its publication in the Goodland Star News.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of October, 2015, by the Governing Body of the City of Goodland, Kansas.
